Desk Nighttime Lightbar

Recently, I've been staying up late to work on random personal projects (like right now) or take night meetings for work. I don't like keeping the apartment lights on, especially if I want to get into a sleepy mood afterwards so I can sleep, so I looked for a way to give myself a comfortable amount of light.

I bought an LED bar on amazon for something like $10. It comes with a wired inline controller to control the hue and the brightness. I designed a fixture to hold the bar above my monitor that magnetically couples to the back of my monitor.

I then designed an enclosure that the wired controller can snapfit into. The enclosure gets attached to the bottom of my monitor.

I use this light basically every night now, and it provides great ambiance. Something about working under a warm light in a small space is really cozy.
