There's not much to write about this. Whenever I work on home projects, my desk becomes cluttered with tools and I don't want to put them away in the closet just to dig them out again. Having my calipers, blades, or screwdrivers within arms reach is very useful day to day.
I took inspiration from those peg-board organizers a lot of people have above workbenches and designed my own using the keyhole shape you find on the back of some hanging clocks. Each holder I designed has M3 sockethead cap screws that act as the cleat to latch into the keyholes.
The backing board was laser cut out of acrylic, and the different holders were all custom designed for my tools and printed on my home FDM 3D printer. Some holders are more than just containers, like a little sliding cabinet I built for screws and a magnetic one for my Pixelbuds case.
